Requirements

What are the requirements to take the Practical Assessment?

You need to acquire an Application Number from MISMO. We'll also need hard copies of the documents you submitted/uploaded in your MISMO account when you applied for the Application Number (see list below) as well  as well as 2 valid IDs.

Management Level (Deck and Engine)

• For revalidation - Valid IDs, Application Number, and copies of your MLC certificates and CoC
• For new passers - Valid IDs, Application Number, and copies of your MLC certificates and Certificate of Passing

Operational Level (Deck and Engine)

• For revalidation - Valid IDs, Application Number, and copies of of your CoC
• For new passers - Valid IDs, Application Number, and a copy of your Certificate of Passing

Ratings Forming Part of a Navigational Watch

• Valid IDs, Application Number, and a copy of your Certificate of Completion (if applicable)

GMDSS Radio Operator

• For revalidation - Valid IDs, Application Number, and a copy of your CoC
• For new passers - Valid IDs, Application Number, and a copy of your Certificate of Passing

How do I request for a schedule?

Is there a reservation fee?

We don't require a reservation fee, however, we appreciate you contacting us in advance if you are unable to attend to your requested schedule to give way to your fellow seafarers. Please note that you must have an Application Number acquired through MISMO to be eligible for a Practical Assessment.

What are the schedules for each Level of Assessment?

• Deck Management Level (Manila and Cebu sites): Monday to Tuesday and Wednesday to Thursday
• Deck Management Level (Manila and Cebu sites): Monday to Tuesday and Wednesday to Thursday  
• Engine Management Level (Manila site only): Tuesday to Wednesday and Thursday to Friday
• Engine Operational Level (Manila site only): Tuesday to Wednesday and Thursday to Friday 
• GMDSS Radio Operator (Cebu site only): Monday to Tuesday and Wednesday to Thursday
• Ratings Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (Cebu site only): Tuesday to Wednesday and Thursday to Friday

Payment

Can I pay by GCash?

Yes! Your convenience is one of our top priorities that's why we offer the option to pay for our training and programs using G-Cash (transfer through bank). 

Can I pay by credit card?

At MARITECH, we understand the convenience of paying by credit card. For now, the available modes of payment are by cash or through bank transfer (your bank's app or GCash). For security reasons, we opt not to offer payment by credit card so you can have peace of mind knowing that your personal and financial information is protected.

Uniform

What do I wear during Familiarization and Practical Assessment day?

For Deck and Engineer Officers, you are required to wear your Type B uniform. Engineer Officers are required to wear PPE coverall, gloves, and safety shoes during your laboratory work.

What if I don't have my uniform and/or coverall available?

No worries, your convenience is of utmost importance to us that's why for just a minimal fee, you can rent a full or partial set of Type B uniforms (including PPE, gloves, safety shoes).
